NAID Certified Plant-Based Shredding - Shredding
Source
Shredding Source is a NAID Certified Plant-Based Shredding
facility in North Florida. Shredding Source takes the
customer's trust very seriously. All of our
employees:
- Submit to continual background checks, random drug screenings,
and operational reviews.
- The entire Shredding Source facility is watched 24 hours each
day, 7 days each week in a 90 day loop, per the NAID
requirements.
- All employees dress in Shredding Source uniforms with a visible
ID badge.
- We trust our employees to process your documents at our
facility within the 72 hour time frame allowed us by
NAID.
- Your paper is sent to a NAID recycler, and never to an animal
shelter or mail order business.
- The Shredding Source plant based method is a more cost
effective solution for your sensitive documents.
On-Site Shredding - Others
On-Site Shredding may not be as safe as you previously thought.
Some questions to think about:
1. Do you watch to make sure the
items are shred? Do you have the time to watch it shred?
2. Are you sure that the containers are locked as they sit in the
parking lot?
3. What do you know about the driver? Is this the regular driver
or a new one?
4. Can you trust a driver and company that have no one auditing
their shredding processes?
5. Does the driver have a license to drive the vehicle?
6. How do you know where the paper will be disposed, could it be
headed to the dump? Who makes sure where the paper goes?
7. Is the cost of on-site really worth it if you cannot trust the
solution?

certified just to get your business. Make sure to ask for a
copy of their NAID Certified certificate as proof of their
standing.
- Irrespective if you use a mobile-based shredding or a
plant-based shredding service, ensure that the service provider is
NAID certified and that all documents are secured until they are
destroyed.
- A good rule of thumb is to make sure documents are
completely destroyed within 72-hours and a Certificate of
Destruction is provided to you upon completion of this
process.
